My Day at Glitterfest !!!!

Spring Glitterfest is one of my shows I do every year...This year was enchanting ...Filled with Glitter & Sparkles everywhere you looked...Here's a few pictures of my boot this spring.....I got to see so many of my beautiful gal pals and so many of my favorite customers, it was so nice....I'm now off to create some more line art for Scrapbook Stamp Society ...They make my Rubber & Digi stamps from my art...After such a fun fest I'm filled with tons of inspiration ...Thanks for stopping by my Blog!!...Xo

My Recipe for Yummy Cold Veggie Pasta

Cold Veggie Pasta

Your Need:
1 box of pasta...(I like whole wheat but pick your favorite kind)
1 Cucumber
1/2 Cup Green Olives
1 Can Black Olives
1 Bell Pepper (Red Green or Yellow or a little of all three for color)
3 Tomato's
1 can Artichokes (Drained)
1 Lemon
4 Tb spoons Balsamic Vinegar
4 Tb spoons Olive Oil
2 Ts spoons Dried Basil
6 Leaves Fresh Basil
1/2 Cup Shredded Parmesan Cheese ( You can add other cheeses if you like too)
Salt & Pepper to taste
A little of the Juice from the Green Olives :-) That's to taste too.
If you like garlic you can toss a few cloves in too.....

Cook your pasta till done, drain the hot water off, the run cold water over your pasta to cool it down...Be sure to drizzle with a Tb spoon of olive oil and toss so it won't sick as it cools...You can then pop it in the frig to chill while your chopping your veggies.

In a large
Combine your Olive Oil, Balsamic Vinegar, cut and squeeze the juice of 1 Lemon in the bowl... add, salt, pepper and dried Basil...Stir and let that sit while you chop...
Course chop all your veggies.... Tomatos first so the juices of the tomato get in there....then just add the rest and toss toss toss!!! Let it set in the refrigerator tell your ready to eat...So all the flavors blend.....

The Simple Things

The simple things in life are some of the best things... My Mother always said ...."Every time you sit down to eat make sure you set a pretty place setting for yourself, even if your alone, it will make you feel good" She was right !!

I mean, how cute are these chunky Coffee Mugs!!~ This is one of the SIMPLE things I did for myself this week...I bought 2 coffee mugs (Found then wholesale, you know I love to find good deal) ...They are so CUTE and express SWEET feelings that I want to remind myself of every time I take a drink...

 

It gives me such a cozy feeling holding a warm cup of coco, nothing like it to warm the heart on a cold day ...It takes me back to remembering the days of being at my Grandma's house. I was a lucky little girl to have my Mother, both of my Grandmother and my Great Grandmother all at the same time in the kitchen as I was growing up. Every day there was cooking filling the house with yummy aromas and lots of crafting and creating going on at Grandma's and Always Hot Coco !!!

 

I got them at Shinoda's (they have an online store)... they were only $4 each, can you believe it...

Sherri's MAPLE BACON CUPCAKES

I wanted this to be a FUN & Easy Cupcake ....So I used a mix for this one and I'm so happy I did ...It's Yummy!!
Ingredients:
1 Package Bacon
1/4 Cup Real Organic Maple Syrup
1/2 Cup Sugar
2 1/4 cups Original Bisquick® mix for the Cupcake Batter
3/4 cup milk ( you can use "Butter Milk" if you like) add more if you need it to

Instructions:
Cook your bacon (till hard) set aside... let cool then crumble
Mix your dry and liquid ingredients together, to make your batter...
Add bacon crumbles to your batter ...Add your bacon to your taste....as much or as little as you like

FROSTING
I Used a Classic Vanilla Butter Cream Frosting
Ingredients:
1 cup unsalted butter (2 sticks or 1/2 pound), softened (but not melted!) Ideal texture should be like ice cream.
3-4 cups confectioners (powdered) sugar, SIFTED
1/4 teaspoon table salt
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
up to 4 tablespoons milk or heavy cream

Instructions:
Beat butter for a few minutes with a mixer with the paddle attachment on medium speed. Add 3 cups of powdered sugar and turn your mixer on the lowest speed (so the sugar doesn’t blow everywhere) until the sugar has been incorporated with the butter. Increase mixer speed to medium and add vanilla extract, salt, and 2 tablespoons of milk/cream and beat for 3 minutes. If your frosting needs a more stiff consistency, add remaining sugar. If your frosting needs to be thinned out, add remaining milk 1 tablespoons at a time.
Top your cupcakes with Bacon Crumbles!!!
