BLUE DIVA

Good morning

Today i am showing the fab diva digi from Sherri, so love this image.

I have used a creata blue card blank, mirror card and backing paper

The digi is printed onto neenah card stock and coloured with spectrum noir markers. Glitter added to her eyes for eyeshadow and the fluff on her dress.

I have used a digi dress, bling, sentiment peel offs and bling from my stash

Created a small flower using 3 little flowers layered on top of each other

Some times I love to make High Tea here at the Farm...  Farm Girl Stlye!

I love to cook and fuss in the kitchen... (some times I make more of a mess then anything) and all the more at this time of year when everthing is coming fresh out of the gardens here at the farm... 

So today I'm sharing a little Farm girl high tea with you!

Our family loves finger foods and just grazing on them all day long... especily on these ~ hot end of summer days! I Love LOVE simple easy food this time of year too...

 Oh! and I LOVE cheese any kind of cheese...I want to learn how to make goat cheese..First I have to get some goats though...That's what Kyler our son said wants next... :-)

I think I said LOVE a lot...But I do love food ..LOL!

A FUN little Bit about my art....Oh where oh where did you come from "Ella & Pinkles !!!!" My little girl witch and her pet frog!

 

 My Original "Ella and PINKLES" (Copyright 2005 AKA The Little girl witch and her Pet Frog ~ )

Here are some of the sketches of  the little witch girl I came up with  that I created. ...with her glasses and her pet frog.....Some are the first sketches and some are of them now that they are Besties....

I have sold my art for over 20 + years and I started publishing my original 2D art as digi stamps in 2010... 
I published Glitterella based on the same original characters on SSS site for sale as Digi Stamps in early 2011 as my big eyed art girls and then again in early 2012 as Ella Bella as Ell and Pinkles became Besties ( just as it shows in my registered copyright)  from my NEW LINE of ( Ella Bellas Buttons and Bows).....this time with no glasses... So the little witch and her Pet frog became Ella and PINKles ( With the frog being pink like my pink poodle)

 Here she is in color as a Bestie....

 These are all the versions of Elle & Pinkles from when she was born in 2005 in my studio!
Note all my past work was all reigstered with the Copyright office starting in 2004 on when I sigined my first licensing deals and all my work had to be under legal copyright to get licensed :-)  You can find me under Sherri Forrester Baldy if you ever what to look.. :-)

HERE IS THE WHOLE HISTORY if you should want to take the time to read it  :-) XOXO

 This is the origin and history of where my original characters "Ella and PINKles" came from...and when the original sketches copyrights where created.

Just about 8 years ago now "The Little girl and her Pet Frog" were born on my sketch pad in my studio.

At the time I was illustrating a number books for different authors of children books... it was very exciting to be heading into the book and illustration world with my art. Even though I had already published My Own! first book " The Land Of the Fablers" I was so thrilled to be illustrating for others.

As the years went on and my book illustrating continued... I was asked by writers to illustrate more and more books.... I am so thrilled to say, many of the books I illustrated got published, some got awards like 

"Daira Rose and the Day She Chose".

And some went into animation and one I'm so excited to say,
"Disney"  pick up one of the books I illustrated for a movie 

"Toddles The Pink Poodle"  With one of my Pink Poodles in it.

However, some of the books never made it to full publication for one reason of another. That happens a lot with books as we all know....

This is about one of those books that I was commissioned to illustrate 5 years ago....
and about a character I created in 2005

 (Gwendalina ~ Glitterella AKA Ella and Pinkles)...

 One author contacted me about working with her on a book/story A book called (Gwendalina)... She said she was thinking of doing a book she was working on and wanted to use my art in it... and have me illustrate the book for her...

She (Deb) was the owner of "Beautiful Shops" web site on the web ... A very well known and popular selling web site at the time...

Deb (the owner) had seen my art and some of the books that I had illustrated in the past.... She approached me with an idea to do a story about (a little girl that played and pretended to be a witch).....   She had no characters created so it was up to me to create with my style what I would send her...But she felt like my big eyed girls would be a perfect fit.....

Deb sent me 3 short pages from her book for me get an idea and feel of the story line, to help me visualizes and create and develop the charters in my style of my art ... What came to mind was my little  girl with glasses that I had.. and her pet frog dressing her like a little witch...

SO! Emails, information and my sketches went back and forth back then.... Good thing I saved them all now :-)

After reading the 3 pages I knew it was a perfect fit... I took the concept and developed with my little girl with big glasses tipping off her nose and her little pet frog that she took everywhere with her ... all through the garden naming the flowers and herbs ....I decided that the frog would be PINK like my line of PINK Poodles and all my pink mermaid art...I was known for... I sent many pages to Deb for her review....I still have all the originals with the dates.....

So what happened to the book and why did I end up publishing my art myself......

 (The Author Deb) had some things come up so she put the book on hold .... then she contacted me and said the book was now off the table...she would not be doing it at least not at that time. 

She released me from the contract on doing the book so I was free to release my art and my characters I developed as I hold the copyright on my original images ( The little girl with glasses and her pet frog)... I was free to release them as I saw fit...

ROCK AROUND THE CLOCK

Good morning

Today its me again!  I have used the amazing digi from sherri and so cute she is too.

I have used creata backing papers, mirror card and hammered card stock.

The clock dies are creata joycrafts cut in the fab mirror card

The digi was printed onto neenah card stock and coloured with spectrum noir markers, Glitter added to her top, socks and headband.

I typed the sentiment then mounted it onto mirror card. i have used dew drop bling and spiders web to create a large bow with a music note charm for the centre of the bow.
